Beautiful basins

When designing a bathroom one of the first things to consider is what toilet, basin, bath and shower you want to incorporate. A big trend for 2020 are statement basins. They are a smaller design feature but can add a fun twist to any bathroom. Consider opting for a patterned basin or a unique-shaped one.
If you’re feeling brave, playing with pattern in a bathroom can look exquisite. Wallpapering a bathroom might intitially sound old-fashioned but it’s made a comeback in a big way. Clash patterns in a bathroom by choosing different wallpaper and tiles but keep them in the same colour palette to avoid it looking too busy.
More marble

A statement space doesn’t have to be ultra colourful, it can be certain design details that make a bathroom bold and unique. Take inspiration from the scheme above and be consistent with your choice of materials. Covering a bathroom in marble-effect tiles not only looks cohesive and uniformed but definitely makes a style statement.
If you have the space for a stand alone bath, then this is a design statement within itself. Choose a unique design which suits your overall look and don’t forget to accessorise with stylish taps and accessories.
Dark side

Designing a dark bathroom isn’t for everyone but it’s a total myth that dark colours make a space look smaller. Even if you’re working with a smaller area, don’t be afraid to opt for darker features such as black wall and floor coverings. You can always lighten things up by choosing lighter bathroom furniture and accessories.
Take your taps into consideration when designing your statement bathroom and think how they will complement or contrast with the rest of your bathroom scheme. We love the idea of having a bold colour on the walls and contrasting this with harsh black taps and light fittings.
