When Simba announced a new environmentally sustainable range, including the Simba Earth Source Mattress, we knew we were in for a treat.
With three different mattresses (the Earth Source, Earth Escape and Earth Apex) in the new Earth range, we were keen to try one out for ourselves.
All are crafted using sustainable materials, grown and sourced in the UK.
We tried out the Earth Source – and were seriously impressed.
Here’s why the Simba Earth Source mattress is Good Homes Approved…
Simba Earth Source: design and materials
The Simba Earth Source mattress is delivered flat for immediate comfort—no waiting, no fuss.
Once you’ve got the mattress set-up where you want, you can certainly say ‘goodbye’ to restless nights, thanks to Simba’s innovative QuadCore spring system.
Unlike traditional mattresses (that rely on rows of springs), QuadCore springs are grouped in fours – specifically engineered to reduce motion transfer.
This clever approach eliminates the disruptive ‘ripple effect’ you might experience with standard sprung mattresses – meaning a more peaceful, undisturbed sleep!
Plus, a practical yet thoughtful touch: four sturdy handles make it easy to move the mattress whenever needed.

Comfort?
Let’s talk about comfort. The Simba Earth Source strikes the perfect balance between support and softness.
The surface feels plush yet supportive, cradling your body while maintaining a firm enough base to ensure proper alignment, we found it ideal for all sleeping positions – whether you’re a back, side, or stomach sleeper.
Sambar Earth Source mattress review: maintenance
One of the questions we had before trying out the Simba Earth Source mattress was whether it required the dreaded ‘flipping routine’.
You’ll be relieved to hear the answer is a resounding no, instead, you simply need to rotate it – which seems a much smaller effort!
Rotating the mattress is recommended when it comes maintaining its luxurious comfort – it’s also one of the few conditions of the Simba 10-year warranty.
During the first three months, regular 180-degree spins are recommended to ensure even wear, after that, you can ease into a more relaxed schedule, rotating just twice a year.
