A vibrant blue colour palette is the perfect pairing for a beautiful copper cabinetry finish in this kitchen design by Ledbury Studio.

This beautifully appointed London apartment, owned by Phillipa Beck, demanded a luxurious style for its kitchen re-fit.
The new design, by Charlie Smallbone of Ledbury Studio, delivers a decadent feeling to the space – punchy with colour, featuring the design studio’s signature metallic finish, and bringing with it an Art Deco twist, which feels perfectly at home with the room’s lofty proportions, with the finer details and decorations.
“I was so excited when I saw the Metallics Collection for the first time,” explains Phillipa. “It was the kitchen I’d had in my head but hadn’t seen before. I particularly like the fact that the furniture looks like standalone pieces, not standard square kitchen cabinets – and I love the copper!”
The perfect blue

Walls painted in Little Green’s Marine Blue provide the perfect canvas for the kitchen design, perfectly complementing the metallic finishes used throughout. The owner added bar stools from Danetti that were almost a perfect match for the rest of the scheme.
Natural patina

Metallic copper cabinetry panels have been individually aged to create this beautiful patina effect – a signature technique of Charlie Smallbone’s Ledbury Studio. The copper fronted units house an integrated fridge freezer, with cupboard space above.
Brass detailing

Aged brass elements bring another dimension to the space, including detailing on the kitchen stools, the Perrin & Rowe mixer tap and a hanging rail above the hob. A quartz worksurface and splashback offer a marble look, but with more durable qualities than granites and natural stones.
Art Deco décor

An illustrated, tropical wall mural gives the kitchen another ‘wow-factor’ moment, complemented by furniture, lighting and accessories that exudes Art-Deco charm.
Adaptable storage

The central island, with bar stool seating, along with a more relaxed lounging area make this the perfect space for entertaining, whether that’s for informal dining or hosting a cocktail party. The flooring changes from deep pile carpet to parquet wood, helping to demarcate the kitchen and living spaces.
