There is no denying that orange is a bright colour, we suggest that if this isn’t for you, to tone it down to a sumptious terracotta shade. These burnt orange and rusty hues are so on-trend right now and are popping up all over the high street. We’re talking ceramic vases, plant stands and boho-style pouffes. This trend pays homage to Moroccan influences and is the perfect way to warm up your home for Autumn.

Have faith in your decorating abilities and go for a bold contrasting scheme. When putting together contrasting looks, your first port of call should be the colour wheel. In terms of the colour orange, it sits opposite blue, which means that they are a match made in heaven when creating a colour clash. This might sound scary however it’s easy enough to tone it down by choosing muted shades and keeping the backdrop neutral, just like this look from Habitat.
