If you’ve been scrolling through interior design trends on Instagram or Pinterest lately, you’ve probably seen influencers raving about luxurious cashmere kitchens.
And while cashmere has always been synonymous with quality, cashmere kitchen cabinets are now the ultimate in covetable kitchens. But just what is a cashmere kitchen?
Cashmere kitchens are elegant, durable and timeless.
The key to designing the perfect luxurious space in your own home is to factor in light and complementary colours.
Fortunately, the expert design consultants at Masterclass Kitchens have all the advice you need to help you master this exciting new trend.
Gold cashmere kitchens
Hold a cashmere jumper under warm light and you’ll see hints of rose gold in the fibres.
Similarly, choose a warm grey kitchen, add yellow lighting and you create a similar look – a gold kitchen.
The effect is particularly stunning if you choose a shade of grey with pink undertones then contrast it with brown accessories.
Select a handleless kitchen and you have the option to accessorise with gold handle rails, which make a strong statement much like a metallic splashback, as shown in this stunning Lumina H Line design.
Together, these choices enrich a pale kitchen, adding plenty of warmth for a welcoming look and feel.

Shaker cashmere kitchen ideas
Cashmere kitchens don’t have to be slick, handleless affairs to create that luxurious look.
If you want to adopt this style but don’t want your kitchen to feel cold and modern, why not go for a classic Shaker cashmere kitchen instead?
This Hardwick range in Highland Stone and Graphite adds lots of wholesome charm to the style.
If you want to ramp up the warm effect, you can always pair the design with smooth gold handles and a few reflective kitchen accessories, maybe even incorporate a few dark panels.
So long as most of the room follows cashmere kitchen guidelines, they’ll pop and make your space sing.
Cashmere kitchen complementary colours
If you want a pure cashmere kitchen without bold cabinets but you also don’t want your space to appear washed out, blend some complementary colours into the design, either with a kitchen island, some accessories or wall paint.
Masterclass Kitchens’s Sutton H Line and Madoc H Line ranges show what an impressive impact this can have.
A dark grey kitchen island provides an intense contrast while dark wood bar stools look striking in a clean kitchen.
As for walls and floors, choose eggshell finishes to extend the cashmere sheen and bold parquet or light tiled flooring to finish the look.
Matt and gloss cashmere kitchens
When it comes to cashmere-style door fronts, your kitchen range can work in matt or gloss.
Just make sure that, if you do choose a matt finish, it sports a slight sheen. It will all come down to personal taste, of course, but think about what would benefit your space, too.
For a low maintenance design, matt surfaces don’t tend to show up fingermarks so are ideal for family kitchens.
Masterclass’s Sutton H Line kitchen shown above left is a perfect example.
Gloss doors meanwhile, as shown above right in our Lumina H Line, can make rooms feel bigger, ideal for narrow galley kitchens or rooms with limited natural light.
