7 of the best workshops at Ideal Home Show
The Ideal Home Show returns to Olympia London from 17 March-2 April 2023. There’s so much to do at the award-winning event, whether you simply plan to shop for all things homes and gardens, visit the brand new Spring Clean Stage, explore the Good Homes roomsets, listen to talks by celebrities and experts like Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and Martin Lewis, or take part in a workshop.
There are more than 50 workshops taking place at the Show, from the perennially popular wreath-making to wine tastings and macramé masterclasses, as well as the chance to build your own bird box. The Good Homes team picks out seven of the best…
1. Easter wreath-making
In this workshop, Katy Quorn demonstrates how to create a beautiful wreath using natural materials and Easter-themed objects to adorn your creation. This friendly workshop will teach you how to make your front door stand out and become a master of the latest Instagram trend, doorscaping.

2. Flower arranging with Freddie’s Flowers
Can you arrange the perfect vase of flowers? It’s easier than you think when you arrange along with Freddie Garland. Freddie is coming to the Ideal Home Show, to arrange along with you, live. He will be sharing his exclusive tips and tricks on arranging and flower care. You’ll have a beautiful arrangement to take home with you and a roster of floristry know-how.

3. Macramé masterclass with The Home Genie

4. Cushion-making masterclass

5. Build a bird box
Build your own bird box with designer Max McMurdo and the & Live Lagom team from IKEA. Using a basic kit of tools and materials, you will learn the skills necessary to hand craft a wonderful home for feathered friends.

6. IKEA Live Lagom wreath-making workshop
The IKEA Live Lagom programme provides inspiration for living sustainably without extra cost. This sustainable spring wreath-making workshop demonstrates how to use what we have, rather than buying more. Fifty per cent of the money from ticket sales for this workshop will be donated to the Ideal Home Show charity partner, Shelter.
