Sacrée Frangine
The first of the collaborators is creative duo, Sacrée Frangine, bringing together two childhood friends, Célia Amroune and Aline Kpade. The pair use minimalistic illustrations in warm colours, showing the beauty of sisterhood, motherhood and womanhood.
Their work, entirely inspired by people and feminine themes to show the beauty in the everyday, appears on a selection of alluring ceramics, including vases, plant pots and candles.
‘Our pieces are a gentle reminder to take time. Take time to dream, to contemplate the landscape, smile and spend time with people you love,’ they said.
Brunna Mancuso
The second artist contributing to the collection is Brunna Mancuso. She creates her beautiful art in her studio in São Paolo, Brazil, and this includes posters made in various techniques: watercolour, gouache, and acrylics. Moreover, each of the posters portrait Brunna’s favourite motive, women, which will add vibrance and charming elegance to your gallery wall.
‘Women are both powerful and delicate at the same time,’ says Brunna. ‘I like to explore that in my work using expressive brush strokes, textures, shapes and colour. Therefore, I’d love it if every woman on the planet felt as confident as the women I paint.’
Diana Ejaita
The third and final collaborator to the H&M Home x Love of Art collection is Italian-Nigerian Berlin-based artist Diana Ejaita. She uses silhouettes in dramatic and contrasting colours and her work has featured on the cover of many respected magazines. As a result, her illustrations stand out in a combination of contrasting black and white with soft patterns and textures portraying feminine strength.
Diana’s art has been placed on a selection of textiles and soft furnishings. For example, embroidered cushion covers, and soft, woven jacquard blankets.
‘For this collection, I was thinking of people being in dialogue with the environment, specifically the messages that inspire us to make choices in respect of nature,’ says Diana. ‘I think these types of reflection are fundamental nowadays.’
The H&M Home Love of Art collection is available to shop online and at H&M Home stores nationwide from 7 October 2021.
